Our Year 5 and 6's managed to avoid the rain to complete their Level 1 and 2 'Bikeability' course! The children enjoyed it and made us all extremely proud!
Yoga classes begin after school every Monday. We've had great feedback so far, with children really looking forward to their next session!
Hartington children went on an exciting trip to Thornsett Fields Farm where they lived, ate and fought like Vikings for the day. We learnt a lot about Anglo-saxons and Vikings lifestyles, made our own Viking coins, built long boats and houses from whatever we could find and tried Mead and Bread warmed on the fire.
Finally, it was battle time! We split into Anglo-Saxons and Vikings, made our own weapons from sticks and ropes and...may battle commence. The end of the battle saw a draw and after a vote the Vikings and Anglo-saxons decided to live in harmony.
A fun day had by all.
Our children chose to complete a 10k run around the playground and hold a hilarious joke show all in the hope of raising money for Comic Relief! We enjoyed cheering the runners on with flags designed by the children themselves and listening to some hilarious jokes in our 'Do something funny for money' jokes show.
Haddon took an exciting trip to Macclesfield Silk Museum.
Christmas Performance
We are really pleased with the new sign at the front of our school.
We will be continuing with our Under 5s forest school on Fridays at 11am until October half term. If you or someone you know would like to come along and join in the fun, you would be very welcome. The cost is £5 per child with babies in slings free. You don’t need to have a link to Hague Bar, so please spread the word to others in the surrounding area.
